Your opportunity

The Queensland Family and Child Commission (QFCC) influences change by monitoring the performance of the child protection, youth justice and family support systems. We use information to raise awareness, advise Government and make recommendations for improvement. In this Identified role as the First Nations Lead, you will be a key advocate for embedding Indigenous perspectives and ensuring the rights of First Nations children and families are prioritised across QFCC's work.


We are looking for someone who can:

1.   Lead strategically: integrate First Nations perspectives into broader organisational strategies and policies using strategic thinking and planning abilities.

2.   Lead change in complex environments: work effectively with First Nations communities, leveraging demonstrated experience and a comprehensive understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait

Islander cultures and issues.

3.   Develop and mobilise talent: develop and implement initiatives that support First Nations children and their families, demonstrating strong leadership.
