Detail of Duties:

In accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity, Industrial Democracy Principals and Occupational Health & Safety Principles and Practices:

• Provide ongoing policy and administrative support to the Griffith AMS management including:
• The preparation of correspondence; Reports;
• Submissions and briefing papers as required.

·        Participate in program planning activities.

·        Undertake research and consultation activities as directed,

·        Identify and liaise with the key stakeholders within the community as required,

·        Establish formal linkages and partnerships with key stakeholders within the Griffith community,

·        Work in with existing AMS staff in programs and service provision as directed by management.

·        Work with Aboriginal Communities in a culturally safe manner.

·        Provide screenings of clients to identify individuals with mental health issues or at risk of developing mental health issues.

·        Provision of clinical interventions, treatment planning, trauma, grief and loss, drug and alcohol counselling and psycho-social education.

·        Provide best practice, evidence based culturally appropriate interventions and treatments.

·        Co-ordinate and monitor referral systems to appropriate services.
