ATSI Primary Health Lecturer

Purpose of the Position

Responsible for delivery of approved training programs in Indigenous primary health care and community services:

·       Teaching, management and facilitation of culturally appropriate teaching and learning activities.

·       Student assessments, maintenance of student records, supervision of students, and monitoring student progression.

·       Liaising with remote Aboriginal communities and health industry partners.

·       Participate in research activities and all requirements of the course and Directorate of Humanities, Division of Further Education.

·       Development of teaching resources and assessment material.

Duties

·       Delivery of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care training courses at both remote Indigenous Australian communities and campus based as required. Including lectures, tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, work experience and student field excursions, in styles appropriate to the client group.

·       Prepare training schedules and plans, application and enrolment forms and associated resources required for the effective and efficient delivery of the ATSI Primary Health Care course.
