Motor Mechanic (No Experience)

Your role  

As a Motor Mechanic in the Air Force, you’ll repair and maintain an exciting variety of high-tech vehicles, machinery, and equipment that you won’t find anywhere else. Whether you’re on the runway or in a workshop, you’ll work on anything from aviation vehicles and aircraft loading systems, to aircraft arrestor systems and refuelling equipment.

Your duties may include: 

·       Servicing and repairing vehicles and ground support equipment.

·       Planning and scheduling equipment maintenance.

·       Building and assembling machines and mechanical components.

·       Inspecting machines, engines and transmissions.

·       Providing support to fuel farms, including fuel testing/sampling and vehicle offloading/dispensing.

·       Performing trade supervisory tasks including progressive inspections.

·       Maintaining ground support equipment electrical systems, ground radar mechanical installations and refrigeration/air-conditioning systems.
